Following the Norwegian national team’s historic 2–1 victory over Brazil in the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, Princess Ingrid Alexandra congratulated the team in the locker room. Star forward Erling Haaland celebrated the team’s success alongside the daughter of the heir to the Norwegian throne.
The eldest daughter of Haakon and granddaughter of the current King Harald V personally congratulated the players on their historic achievement. The “Vikings” have advanced to the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time. Ingrid Alexandra was joined in the locker room by her younger brother, Sverre Magnus.
The princess and the prince warmly embraced the national team’s leading scorer, Erling Haaland. He scored twice in the match. Ingrid Alexandra thanked the forward, and he even blushed while speaking with the royal, according to Aerion Reporters.
