Isaac Ajjar will miss his third consecutive Formula 1 Grand Prix
Red Bull has confirmed that Isaac Ajhar will not compete in the Spanish Grand Prix. This will be the team’s driver’s third consecutive missed Formula 1 race.
The Frenchman will continue his rehabilitation following a wrist injury. Health issues have already cost him participation in the races at Zandvoort in the Netherlands and Monza in Italy. Now, Ajjar will be a spectator in Madrid as well.
“The decision was made because Isaac’s recovery is progressing well. Although he is not yet ready to return to the cockpit, he will fly to Madrid to support the team,” the team said in a statement.
New Zealander Liam Lawson will once again defend the Red Bull colors in place of the French driver. Adjar has scored 71 points this season. His substitute, meanwhile, has earned 51 points.
Earlier, Mourinho stated that he does not feel any pressure to win the Champions League.
