Karavaev is transferring from Dynamo to Shakhtar
34-year-old defender Oleksandr Karavaev has joined Donetsk's Shakhtar as a free agent.
The player’s contract with Shakhtar runs through June 30, 2028.
Karavaev is a product of the Shakhtar Academy, where he played for the youth and junior teams from 2005 to 2011, as well as for Shakhtar-3 in the Second League. He later played for Sevastopol, Zorya, Turkey’s Fenerbahçe, and Zorya again.
From 2019 to 2026, the player competed for Kyiv’s Dynamo. In total, he has played 455 official matches, scoring 57 goals and providing 65 assists.
Karavaev has played for the Ukrainian national team since 2015 and has 50 matches, 3 goals, and 13 assists to his credit.
His achievements include two Ukrainian championships, three Ukrainian Cups, and two Ukrainian Super Cups.
