Chinese swimmer Zhang Zhanshuo wins seventh Asian Games gold — ECNS
According to ECNS, Chinese swimmer Zhang Zhanshuo won the 400-metre freestyle race at the Aichi–Nagoya Asian Games. On Friday at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre, he covered the distance in a record 3 minutes 41.28 seconds and claimed his seventh gold medal of the tournament.
Seven wins in eight events
The 19-year-old athlete competed in eight Asian Games events and won seven of them. In addition to the 400-metre freestyle, he won gold in the 200-metre, 800-metre and 1,500-metre freestyle events.

Records in individual race and relays
In the 200-metre freestyle, Zhang Zhanshuo set an Asian record. He also won three relays as part of the Chinese team: the 4×200-metre freestyle, 4×100-metre freestyle and 4×100-metre medley relay.
In the 4×200-metre freestyle relay, the Chinese team set an Asian record with a time of 7 minutes 0.17 seconds. An Asian record was also set in the 4×100-metre freestyle relay — 3 minutes 10.60 seconds.
