Kyiv Dynamo won the Ukrainian Football Cup
In the final match of the 2025/26 Ukrainian Cup soccer season, Kyiv’s Dynamo defeated FC Chernihiv. Dynamo won its 14th cup trophy since Ukraine’s independence.
The final at Arena Lviv ended in a 3-1 victory for the “white-and-blues,” according to Ukrinform.
The goals were scored by Vitaliy Buyalskyi (26th and 54th minutes) and Andriy Yarmolenko (71st minute) for Kyiv, and Anatoliy Romanchenko (34th minute) for Chernihiv.
FC Chernihiv played in the Ukrainian Cup final for the first time.
Thanks to this victory, Dynamo will compete in the UEFA Europa League next season.
Luhansk’s Zorya and Zhytomyr’s Polissya ended their Ukrainian Premier League Round 29 match on Monday, May 18, with a scoreless draw. Following this result, Polissya was unable to improve its position in the standings and remained in third place in the league.
