LeBron James set an NBA record
On the night of March 21–22, 2026, Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James once again etched his name into the history of world basketball.
During a National Basketball Association regular-season game against the Orlando Magic, the legendary player officially became the league’s all-time leader in games played.
For the Lakers’ star, this game marked his 1,612th professional appearance, allowing him to surpass the record held by four-time NBA champion Robert Parish.
The former record-holder had held the mark of 1,611 games for many decades, but James’s endurance and athleticism allowed him to reach this milestone.
The game ended with a hard-fought victory for the Lakers by a narrow margin—105–104.
Although the media’s attention was focused on LeBron’s historic achievement, the player himself posted rather modest stats, scoring 12 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and dishing out 4 assists.
The star of the game in terms of scoring was James’s teammate, Slovenian forward Luka Dončić.
He scored 33 points for the team, securing a crucial lead in the final minutes of the game. The Lakers continue to fight for a high position in the standings, relying on the experience of veterans and the energy of young stars.
Previous games have also demonstrated LeBron’s consistently high level of play.
Recently, in a game against Denver, he made 7 of 11 field goals, bringing his career total to an incredible 15,842.
As a reminder, Usyk is training intensively in preparation for his fight against Rico Verhoeven.
Also, Verstappen was disqualified after his victory at the Nürburgring due to excessive tire wear.
