Malanda rescues draw for Middlesbrough — Sky Sports News
Middlesbrough drew 2-2 with Birmingham City in a Championship match at St Andrew's. Defender Adilson Malanda equalised in the 88th minute after taking advantage of an error by home goalkeeper James Beadle, Sky Sports News reports.

Birmingham started the match more actively and created several chances. In the fourth minute, John Solis shot wide of the post after an interception. Later, Carlos Vicente, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Luis Vazquez created another opportunity, but Middlesbrough goalkeeper Radek Vitek tipped Vazquez's header over the crossbar.
The visitors gradually took control of the initiative. Amario Cozier-Duberry initially failed to convert a chance after a pass from Myles Peart-Harris, but in the 45th minute he created a goal for Max Arfsten. Malanda played a diagonal pass, Cozier-Duberry entered the penalty area and passed to Arfsten, who found the top corner with one touch.

Birmingham failed to hold on to their lead
After the break, the hosts equalised in the 55th minute. Malanda lost the ball following the actions of Tomoki Iwata, Solis broke into the penalty area, and Liam Millar completed the attack with a goal — his first for Birmingham.
Four minutes later, Chris Davies' team took the lead. After Millar's corner, Jay Stansfield headed the ball back into the goal area, where it went into the net off Riley McGree after a series of deflections. The goal was recorded as an own goal by McGree.
Late in the match, Middlesbrough strengthened their attack by bringing on Tommy Conway, Kyle Joseph and Jeremy Sarmiento. In the 88th minute, Sebastian Berhalter delivered a free kick, Beadle failed to hold the ball about four yards from goal, and Malanda struck it into the net. The match ended 2-2.
