England's Manchester City will erect a statue of head coach Pep Guardiola after he leaves the club at the end of the season.

The club stated that the monument to the Spanish coach will be erected near the new stand at Etihad Stadium, which will also be named in his honor.
Club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said that Guardiola has left an “indelible mark on the club’s DNA,” and his legacy will forever remain a part of the history of Manchester City, the city of Manchester, and English football.
Guardiola has led the team since 2016 and has become the most successful manager in the club’s history. Under his leadership, Manchester City played 591 matches, secured 423 wins, and won 20 trophies.
The renovation of the Etihad Stadium is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026, after which its capacity will increase to over 60,000 spectators.
