In Barcelona, Spain, Barcelona thrashed Racing Santander 7-2 to claim their seventh victory at the start of the season. According to MyJoyOnline, the Catalan club started a season with seven wins for the first time in its history and restored a three-point lead over Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table.
Four goals before the break
João Cancelo opened the scoring with a long-range strike from around 25 yards. Raphinha then converted a penalty awarded after a foul by Pedro Filipe. In the 30th minute, Maghnes Akliouche reduced Racing’s deficit by finishing a one-touch move.
However, Barcelona quickly restored their two-goal lead: another long-range strike by Cancelo deflected off Asier Villalibre, with the goal recorded as an own goal. Before the break, Raphinha scored for the second time after the opponents lost the ball in midfield. Lamine Yamal failed to convert a penalty, with his shot saved by goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala.

Raphinha’s hat-trick
In the second half, Yamal hit the post, while Yassir Zabiri capitalized on an error by Wojciech Szczęsny to score Racing’s second goal. Soon afterwards, Iker Luque fouled Karim Adeyemi in the penalty area, and Raphinha converted Barcelona’s third penalty to complete his hat-trick.
Late in the match, Gabriel Jesus scored after a pass from Yamal, while Adeyemi set up Yamal. After this match, Barcelona have scored 33 goals since the start of the season.
