Real Madrid brings back Nico Pasa: The club has activated the buyback option
Real Madrid has decided to bring midfielder Nico Pas back to the team by activating the buy-back option stipulated in his contract. According to media reports, the Argentine’s transfer will cost the Spanish club 9 million euros.
Italy’s Como has until the end of the week to exercise a counteroffer and keep the player on its roster. To do so, the club must pay Real Madrid 60 million euros.
Nico Pas joined Como ahead of the 2024–25 season for 6 million euros. At the same time, the Madrid club included a clause in the transfer agreement allowing for the return of its homegrown player.
During the 2025/26 season, the Argentine played 40 matches across all competitions, scored 13 goals, and recorded eight assists, helping Como qualify for the Champions League for the first time in its history. He also made his international debut for Argentina during the 2026 World Cup, playing 10 minutes in the match against Algeria.
