Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo became the first soccer player in history to score goals in six different World Cups. The forward achieved this milestone after opening the scoring just six minutes into the World Cup group stage match against Uzbekistan.
With this goal, the legendary striker secured a unique streak, having scored at least one goal at the World Cups in 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022, and 2026. The 41-year-old Portuguese player’s previous match in this tournament against the DR Congo national team did not go as well, as he set a personal low at a major international tournament, recording just 25 touches of the ball throughout the entire game.
Ronaldo, who has been playing for the Saudi club Al-Nassr since December 2022, has also played for Lisbon’s “Sporting,” England’s “Manchester United,” Spain’s “Real Madrid,” and Italy’s “Juventus” during his career.
