Svitolina has entered the top 10, while Kostyuk has set a personal best
The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has released its updated rankings as of June 8. Ukrainian Elina Svitolina has returned to the top ten of the world rankings, while Marta Kostyuk has climbed to 12th place for the first time in her career, setting a personal best.
Ukraine’s top-ranked player, Elina Svitolina, remains in the top ten, holding the 8th spot (-1) this week among the world’s best female tennis players.
Thanks to her run to the semifinals at Roland Garros, Marta Kostyuk climbed to 12th place (+3) for the first time in her career.
Dayana Yastremska is ranked 49th (-4), Oleksandra Oliinykova has climbed to 51st place (+14), Yulia Starodubtseva is 57th (-2), Angelina Kalinina is 69th (-9), and Daria Snigur is 84th (+9).
It should be noted that the WTA singles rankings continue to be led by “neutral” Aryna Sabalenka. The second-ranked player is Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan, and third is Iga Świątek of Poland.
