The Ukrainian U-7 soccer team has advanced to the final of the European Championship, which is being held in Italy. In the semifinals, the Ukrainian team convincingly defeated the Austrian national team with a score of 11–3.

The Ukrainian men’s 7-a-side soccer team has demonstrated a high level of play from the very start of the tournament. In the group stage, the team secured three victories and showcased a powerful offense. The Ukrainians kicked off their European Championship campaign with an 8–0 victory over Romania. After that, the team defeated Greece by the same score.
In the third match of the group stage, Ukraine faced the tournament hosts, Italy. This game proved to be the most challenging for the Ukrainians, but our team still secured a 5–3 victory. As a result, the Ukrainian national team finished the group stage among the tournament’s top teams and continued its quest for the championship title.
A Rout of Austria in the Semifinals
In the semifinal, the Ukrainians faced the Austrian national team. The Ukrainian team took control of the game from the very first minutes and gave their opponents no chance. The match ended with a convincing 11–3 victory for Ukraine. This result allowed the Ukrainian national team to advance to the European Championship final.
The large number of goals scored was a continuation of the team’s successful performance throughout the tournament. The Ukrainians demonstrated an aggressive, attacking style of play in all their group stage and playoff matches.
In the final, Ukraine will once again face Italy
In the decisive match of the European Championship, the Ukrainian national team will face Italy. The tournament hosts defeated Serbia 7–3 in their semifinal. Interestingly, Ukraine and Italy have already faced each other in the group stage. Back then, the Ukrainians secured a 5–3 victory.
Now the teams will take the field again, but this time the European Championship trophy is on the line. The final match will be the biggest test for the Ukrainian national team in the tournament. The team will have the opportunity to beat the Euro hosts for the second time and finish the competition with gold medals.
What Is 7-a-side Soccer?
7-a-side soccer is a variant of soccer in which seven players from each team are on the field at the same time. The lineup typically includes six field players and a goalkeeper. The main difference from traditional soccer is the smaller field size. It is usually about 50–60 meters long and 30–40 meters wide.
Matches are played on a more compact field, often with artificial turf. Because of the smaller playing area, the game is faster-paced, and teams have less time to make decisions. The goals in 7-a-side soccer are also smaller than in traditional soccer—they measure about 5 by 2 meters. This format is rapidly gaining popularity worldwide, as it allows for dynamic matches and enables more teams to participate in international competitions.
Ukraine is fighting for a historic result
Reaching the Euro 7 soccer final was a major achievement for the Ukrainian national team. The team played the tournament with great confidence, winning all of its matches. The Ukrainian players put on a high-scoring performance and demonstrated that they can compete with Europe’s strongest national teams. Ahead lies the tournament’s biggest match—the final against Italy. A victory in this match will allow Ukraine to become the European 7-a-side soccer champion.
