World Athletics has extended the suspension for Russian and Belarusian athletes

World Athletics, the international athletics federation, has confirmed that Russian and Belarusian athletes will remain suspended from its competitions. The organization has no plans to change this policy in the near future.

This was stated by Olympic champion in track and field heptathlon Natalia Dobrynska at a press conference at Ukrinform, according to the agency’s correspondent.

She noted that the overwhelming majority of prominent track and field athletes support this stance by World Athletics leadership.
