In Israel, Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Hapoel Be’er Sheva 4:1 to secure its third consecutive victory since the start of the season. Ester Sokler scored twice, The Jerusalem Post reports.
Quick goal and Sokler’s double
At Turner Stadium in Be’er Sheva, Maccabi took the lead in the opening minute as Elio Varela scored with a powerful shot. Sokler later converted a penalty to double the visitors’ advantage. The hosts were reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of Eliel Peretz.
Before the break, Amir Ganah reduced Hapoel’s deficit, and the first half ended 2:1. In the second half, Sokler scored his second goal after an assist from Varela, while Maccabi went on to win the match 4:1.

Next Monday, Maccabi will host Hapoel Tel Aviv in a derby. Hapoel Tel Aviv have recorded two wins and one draw at the start of the season.

Before the derby, Hapoel Tel Aviv thrashed Hapoel Ramat Gan 4:0 at Bloomfield Stadium. All the goals came after the break: Emmanuel Boateng, Douglas Owusu and Fernand Mayembo scored, while another goal was an own goal by Dudu Twito.
Beitar Jerusalem claimed their first win of the season, beating Bnei Sakhnin 1:0 thanks to a second-half goal by Eugene Ansah following a corner. In another match, Maccabi Netanya drew 1:1 with Hapoel Haifa: Alon Turgeman put the visitors ahead, while Mateus Davao equalized from the penalty spot after the break.
