Saudi Arabia’s basketball team to play Korea in Nagoya
In Nagoya, Japan, Saudi Arabia’s national basketball team will begin its participation in the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games on Thursday with a match against Korea. The game will take place at Aichi International Arena.
Start in Group A
The meeting between Saudi Arabia and Korea will be the first match in Group A of the basketball tournament. The group also includes Japan, the host country of the competition, and Indonesia. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 Saudi time and 16:00 local time in Nagoya.

Delegation preparation
As Asharq Al-Awsat reports, citing the Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi team arrived two days ago at a training camp in Fuji organized by the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee. The Saudi delegation’s preparation at the camp will continue until October 3.
Athletes in basketball, athletics, mixed martial arts, swimming, karate, fencing, squash, weightlifting, wrestling, taekwondo and jiu-jitsu are preparing at the camp. The official opening of the 2026 Asian Games is scheduled for September 19, and the competition is set to continue until October 4. Participation by 45 national Olympic committees is expected.
