Neal Skupski reaches US Open doubles final
In New York, USA, British tennis player Neal Skupski and American Christian Harrison reached the US Open doubles final. In the semifinals, the duo defeated Britain's Henry Patten and Finnish player Harri Heliovaara 7:6 (7:4), 6:2, Sky Sports News reports.
Skupski's third final
For the 36-year-old Skupski, this will be his third doubles final at the tournament in Flushing Meadows. Previously, he lost twice in the deciding matches: in 2022, when he played with Wesley Koolhof, and last year, when he partnered Britain's Joe Salisbury.
Salisbury played this year alongside American Rajeev Ram. In the second semifinal, they lost to the German duo of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz 3:6, 4:6. Ram and Salisbury won the US Open three times and reunited this year after splitting up in 2024.

Wheelchair tennis
Britons Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid also reached the wheelchair tennis doubles final. In the semifinals, they defeated Argentina's Gustavo Fernández and Japan's Tokito Oda 4:6, 6:3, 10:7. In the final, the British pair will play Spain's Martín de la Puente and the Netherlands' Ruben Spaargaren.
Hewett, who has won the wheelchair tennis singles tournament in New York four times, also reached the singles semifinals. In the quarterfinals, he defeated American Casey Ratzlaff 6:2, 6:0 and will next play Fernández.
