Ghana U-20 team returns home after Women’s World Cup exit
Ghana’s women’s under-20 football team has returned to the country after being eliminated from the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. The team, known as the Black Princesses, failed to advance beyond the tournament’s group stage.

In their opening match, the Ghanaian players lost to Ecuador 0–3. In the second game, the Black Princesses defeated South Korea 3–1. In the final group match, the team lost to France 0–4.

Three points were not enough
After three matches, Ghana had collected three points, but this was not enough to advance to the next round. The defeat to France in the final group match ended the team’s chances of continuing in the competition. Ghana ended its eighth consecutive U-20 World Cup at the group stage.
