Zenit has announced a friendly match against Malinovskyi's club
Russia's Zenit has announced a friendly match against Turkey's Trabzonspor, which features Ukrainian national team players Ruslan Malinovskyi and Arseniy Batagov.
The match is scheduled for November 15 in St. Petersburg. The Russian club has already posted an announcement about the match on its social media accounts.
However, Zenit’s announcement lists Andre Onana, Fabinho, Mohamed Salah, and other players among Trabzonspor’s roster, but the Ukrainians are not included.
Since the start of the full-scale war, Russian clubs have been barred from participating in European club competitions, and Russian national teams have been barred from international tournaments by decisions of the relevant soccer organizations.
As a reminder, the US Open kicked off in New York with a record prize pool.
On August 31, Ukraine’s top-ranked tennis player, Elina Svitolina, confidently defeated Argentina’s Solana Sierra in the first round of the US Open. The Ukrainian advanced to the second round of the tournament after defeating the world’s 91st-ranked player.
