The match lasted 2 hours and 8 minutes. Svitolina easily took the first set, leading 4–0 right from the start, but the match then turned into a real emotional roller coaster—Elina lost the second set, giving up three games in a row.
In the third set, the Ukrainian also lost a two-break lead but still managed to close out the match on her own serve.
