Turkey beat Serbia and reached the EuroVolley final
Turkey's women's national volleyball team defeated Serbia 3-0 in Istanbul, Turkey, in the semifinals of the 2026 European Championship, becoming the first team to reach the tournament final. The defending champions won the sets 25-20, 25-19 and 25-20.

In the first set, the Turkish team led 11-9. After Serbia's timeout, it extended its advantage to 14-10, and later the Serbian national team reduced the deficit to two points at 21-19. However, Turkey closed out the set with a 25-20 victory.
The hosts began the second set with an 8-3 run, after which Serbia moved closer to their opponents at 11-9. The Turkish national team took a timeout, regained control of the game, went ahead 18-13 and won the set 25-19.

Final in Istanbul
In the third set, Turkey quickly took a 3-0 lead. Serbia called a timeout at 7-2, but the Turkish team continued to extend the gap and led 10-3. Near the end of the set, Serbia reduced the deficit to 21-18, but the defending champions won 25-20.
In the final, which will take place on Sunday in Istanbul, Turkey will play the winner of the second semifinal between Italy and Poland, Anadolu Agency reports.
