Italian Grand Prix halted after Charles Leclerc crash
In Monza, Italy, the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix race was halted on the fourth of 53 scheduled laps after a heavy crash involving Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc at the Parabolica corner. As Channel NewsAsia reports, the Monegasque driver climbed out of the car on his own and then sat on the grass behind the safety barriers. He looked stunned but appeared to be unhurt, according to the source.

Leclerc started third, while his Ferrari teammate Lewis Hamilton started fourth. At the first corner, the Briton tried to overtake Leclerc on the inside line but was forced onto the gravel and dropped to 11th place.
Over team radio, Hamilton complained that Leclerc had forced him off the track. The stewards noted the incident.

Red flags on the track
Television replays showed that at the end of the second lap, Leclerc, who was running fourth and under pressure from McLaren's Oscar Piastri, suffered wheelspin. The car touched the white line at the edge of the track and then went off at speed.
A safety car initially came onto the track, followed later by red flags. The International Automobile Federation said the restart would take place no earlier than 15 minutes later, as marshals were repairing the tyre barrier at Parabolica.
