Chrome Remains the Leader: The Most Popular Browsers in the World and in Ukraine Have Been Named
Google Chrome continues to dominate the market and remains the most popular browser among computer users both globally and in Ukraine. In recent months, its market share has grown even further, while the positions of some competitors have weakened.
According to Statcounter, Chrome holds 74.93% of the global PC browser market. Microsoft Edge ranks second with 9.94%, and Apple’s Safari ranks third with a 5.32% share.
Firefox (3.81%) and Opera (1.97%) also made it into the top five most popular browsers in the world.
In Ukraine, Chrome also remains the undisputed leader with a 80.37% share. Opera ranks second (6.72%), followed by Firefox (4.01%). Microsoft Edge takes fourth place with a 3.28% share, while Yandex Browser rounds out the top five with a 3.09% share.
In the mobile browser market, Chrome and Safari are the most popular, together controlling nearly 92% of the market. Chrome’s share is 66.41%, while Safari is used by 25.25% of users.
The top five most popular mobile browsers also include Samsung Internet (2.44%), Opera (1.62%), and UC Browser (1.11%).

Meta CEO and billionaire Mark Zuckerberg has decided to shut down one of the company’s largest and most costly projects—the Horizon Worlds metaverse—which has incurred losses of $80 billion. Support for the VR platform on Quest devices will end by mid-June, and the app will disappear from the app store by the end of March.
In addition, Meta Platforms Inc. announced a price increase for its Quest VR devices due to a significant rise in production costs for high-performance equipment. The changes took effect on April 19 and will affect the U.S., U.K., European, and Japanese markets.
