Gemini Spark will be able to manage the Google Photos library
Google has announced that the personal agent Gemini Spark will be able to perform tasks in the Google Photos library. These include editing images, organizing albums, creating shared collections, and launching workflows in the photo service.
Gemini Spark capabilities
As TechCrunch reports, users will be able to ask Gemini Spark to select favorite photos for shared albums and edit images. The agent will also be able to turn photos of concert posters into calendar entries.
To use the integration, users must first connect Google Photos to Gemini. Then, in the Gemini app, they should enable Spark in the top corner and enter a prompt for the agent.

Rollout in the United States
Google Photos head Shimrit Ben-Yair announced the new capabilities in a post on X. According to her, the features will be rolled out over the coming weeks to eligible Gemini AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the United States who use the service in English.
Google did not specify whether the feature will be available in other international markets or when exactly this might happen. The integration is part of the expansion of AI use in the company's services to automate tasks involving large photo libraries.
