Asus Cetra Open gaming earbuds get their first price cut — The Verge
Asus Cetra Open wireless gaming earbuds have dropped by $22 at Amazon and Best Buy, to $206.99. This is the first discount on the model, The Verge reports.
Open design
Asus Cetra Open feature an open design: their drivers are positioned outside the ear, allowing the user to hear audio from the connected device as well as surrounding sounds. This format may suit those who want to remain aware of their surroundings while gaming, listening to music, or podcasts.
The Verge author noted the model's comfort, sound quality, acceptable battery life, and extensive customization options through a mobile app or browser app. The package also includes a reflective band that physically connects the earbuds behind the neck and is intended to improve their visibility and stability while running.

Transmitter with charging
The earbuds come with a 2.4 GHz USB-C transmitter with a built-in pass-through charging port. It supports charging of up to 60 W, allowing a connected device to be charged while using the earbuds. However, this port does not support data transfer.
Cetra Open are compatible with Steam Deck, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and smartphones. The earbuds can be connected to a phone via Bluetooth.
