Users report possible failures of Dyson CameraJet toothbrushes — The Verge
Early buyers of the $499.99 Dyson CameraJet electric toothbrush are reporting water getting into the battery compartment and possible device failures. The Verge writes about this. One Reddit user said their toothbrush “broke within 30 seconds.”

Another user from the United Kingdom wrote that their device was likely defective, and later found water in the battery compartment. In replies to both posts, other CameraJet owners also indicated that the problem may affect several devices.
The Verge notes that these reports do not make it possible to determine the number of faulty toothbrushes or the scale of the problem. At the same time, the publication contacted Dyson for comment.

Dyson’s response
Dyson said it was aware of a possible component issue in a small number of early CameraJet batches. The statement was provided to the publication by Caitlin Coleman, senior communications manager for the Home Technology division.
CameraJet is Dyson’s first smart toothbrush. The AI-powered device has a camera to detect gaps between teeth and a water-jet function that delivers mouthwash between teeth, mimicking the use of dental floss.
Shortly after the toothbrush launched, it was unavailable on Dyson’s website. The company denied that this was related to complaints about malfunctions, explaining the shortage by high global demand and the process of scaling up production.
