Apple unveils AirPods 5 wireless earbuds
Apple unveiled the AirPods 5 wireless earbuds during the company’s September event. The new model is an update to the AirPods 4 series, which was released in 2024, The Verge reports.
AirPods series update
The AirPods 4 series became Apple’s first lineup of open-fit wireless earbuds available in two versions: with active noise cancellation and without it. Both versions were equipped with the H2 chip, featured squeeze gesture controls, and delivered the same sound.
According to The Verge, the AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation handle ambient noise well despite their open design.
