Trump calls criticism of data centers a hoax
In the United States, President Donald Trump called Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang while he was speaking at the All-In Summit in Los Angeles. Huang took the call and put it on speakerphone, after which Trump voiced support for building data centers for artificial intelligence.

Trump also wrote that calls to slow down construction had emerged because the United States is ahead of other countries in the pace of developing this infrastructure. The president said that opponents of data centers were acting in the interests of people who do not want such projects to be implemented, and suggested possible involvement by China without providing evidence.
Conversation with Huang
During the conversation, Trump joked that Huang could develop complex computer chips that nobody was able to copy, but initially could not put the call on speakerphone. Trump assured the Nvidia chief of his support and said he would not allow the construction of data centers to be stopped. Huang agreed with the president’s remark.
The discussion is taking place amid calls by Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei to slow the pace of artificial intelligence model development. According to CNBC, his position was supported by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and SpaceX founder Elon Musk.
