A widespread outage affecting ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok has occurred worldwide
Users from various countries are reporting issues with several popular AI services at once—ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok.
According to Downdetector, the number of complaints about ChatGPT has risen sharply. At the same time, OpenAI’s status page currently indicates that the systems are operating normally.
Users are also reporting issues with the other services. The reasons for the simultaneous outage have not yet been specified.

OpenAI has launched a standalone ChatGPT desktop app for Linux. A preview version of the app became available worldwide on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, according to TechCrunch.
The ChatGPT desktop app for macOS now features “Computer History,” which uses user actions as training data to build a timeline that ChatGPT and Codex can reference during queries. The tool is designed to learn how the user works, suggest automations, and help resume unfinished tasks, according to The Verge.
