Unitree Unveiled a Humanoid Robot Capable of Jumping 2 Meters
On August 17, the Chinese robotics company Unitree Robotics unveiled a new humanoid robot named Superman. The company stated that the prototype is capable of jumping 2 meters from a standing start and reaching speeds of up to 12.66 meters per second.

Unitree also unveiled the As2W—a wheeled-legged quadruped robot designed for cargo transport and sustained operation. According to ECNS, it can continuously carry up to 16 kilograms, travel over 30 kilometers without a load, and move at speeds of up to 6 meters per second.
The As2W weighs 25 kilograms, and its maximum payload is 180 kilograms. The robot has an IP54 protection rating; during demonstrations, it jumped off platforms and moved through shallow water.
In May, Unitree also unveiled the GD01—its first mass-produced, piloted, transformable mecha robot. Its starting price was 3.9 million yuan, or about $540,000, making it the company’s most expensive product with a publicly disclosed price at the time.
