A 22-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi is suspected of collaborating with Russian intelligence agencies
Law enforcement officials have detained a 22-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi who is suspected of treason and passing information to Russian intelligence agencies. According to the investigation, the man, in communication with a representative of the Russian Federation, provided information about potential targets for drone attacks and shared a list of relevant locations.
“The strikes on Kyiv are great, but they’ve completely forgotten about Khmelnytskyi,” he wrote to the representative of the aggressor state.
In a conversation with another representative of the enemy’s intelligence service, he was tasked with reporting on the results of the strike on the regional center on April 1, which he did.
Afterward, he received a $300 reward deposited into his crypto wallet.
He has been notified that he is suspected of high treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He is currently in custody without the right to bail.
