In the past six months, the State Tax Service has identified more than 1,600 unregistered workers

During the first half of 2026, the State Tax Service conducted more than 15,000 on-site audits, which resulted in more than 250 million UAH being paid into the state budget. The audits also uncovered more than 1,600 unregistered employees.

According to the State Tax Service, thanks to a risk-based approach, tax officials identified numerous violations related to the use of cash registers, trade in excise goods, inventory management, and the use of undeclared labor.

In particular, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a business owner was fined more than 1.3 million hryvnias for forging fiscal receipts and failing to use a cash register. In the Mykolaiv region, a café was fined over 335,000 UAH for selling alcohol without indicating excise stamps on receipts, and in the Kyiv region, a beer bar was fined more than 365,000 UAH for operating without a license.

Violations were also detected at a gas station in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, at a Kyiv-based wholesale supplier of metal products, jewelry stores in Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Rivne regions, as well as at a restaurant in Zaporizhzhia, where the violations included the use of undeclared labor.
