33 days in a coma: the last victim of the terrorist attack has been discharged from the hospital in Lviv

The last victim of the terrorist attack that occurred on February 22 has been discharged from the hospital in Lviv.

This was reported by the First Medical Association of Lviv.

The patient is 36-year-old soldier Oleksandr Falat, who sustained severe injuries during the explosion. According to him, he happened to be at the scene by chance—upon seeing rescue workers and police, he decided to help the victims.

While providing assistance, a second explosion occurred, after which the man lost consciousness.

Doctors rushed him to the hospital in critical condition, where they performed emergency surgery to stop massive bleeding. According to the doctors, shrapnel had struck nearly every part of his body.

Oleksandr remained unconscious for 33 days and spent nearly a month and a half in the intensive care unit.

During his treatment, he underwent ten surgeries. Doctors note that the main problem remains damage to the sciatic nerve, and the patient faces further reconstructive procedures.

In total, 19 victims were taken to hospitals in Lviv on the night of the attack.

On April 14, a shooting occurred at a high school in the province of Şanlıurfa, Turkey, leaving at least 16 people injured.

On April 15, a shooting occurred at a secondary school in the city of Kahramanmaraş in southern Turkey. The attack killed 9 people—8 students and 1 teacher. Another 13 people were injured.
