A police officer from Cherkasy detained a man who threatened to detonate a grenade

Serhiy Tkachenko, an inspector with the Tactical and Operational Response Unit, detained a man who threatened to use a grenade in Dnipro.

This was reported by the patrol police.

While returning home, the officer heard screams and learned from witnesses about a man threatening to detonate a grenade. Tkachenko immediately rushed to the scene.

There, he found two men, one of whom was holding an object resembling a grenade and attempting to detonate it.

The inspector intervened and, together with a civilian, detained the suspect and seized the dangerous object.

Afterward, an investigative team was called to the scene. The grenade was sent for forensic analysis, and the circumstances of the incident are being determined.

The Ternopil Cyber Police, in collaboration with investigators from the Chortkiv District Police Department, have concluded an investigation into a high-profile case of large-scale fraud. 

In another case, a fraudster posed as a banker and defrauded a pensioner of 64,000 UAH.
