Regions of Ukraine with the Most Expensive and Least Expensive Single-Family Homes Have Been Named
The cost of single-family homes in Ukraine varies significantly by region. Such homes are most expensive in Kyiv, while the lowest prices are found in the Chernihiv region.
According to a study by OLX Real Estate, the median price of a single-family home in the capital ranges from 10.46 to 11.08 million hryvnias.
Kyiv Oblast ranks second with an average price of over 5.5 million hryvnias, while Zakarpattia Oblast ranks third, where homes cost an average of about 5.3 million hryvnias.
The regions with the highest prices also included Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Odesa regions, where the median price of a single-family home exceeds 4 million hryvnias.
The mid-range price segment includes the Poltava, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Ternopil, and Vinnytsia regions, where housing prices range from 1.1 to 2.8 million hryvnias.
The cheapest single-family homes are found in Chernihiv Oblast, with a median price of 474,000 hryvnias. The Sumy region ranks second in terms of affordability, with an average price of 897,000 hryvnias. Analysts attribute these prices primarily to the security situation.

Kyiv is introducing a new assistance program for residents whose homes have been destroyed or seriously damaged as a result of Russian attacks. People are promised a one-time payment of 40,000 hryvnias for rent and subsequent monthly compensation if the restoration of their homes is delayed.
In September, Ukraine will receive the first tranche of 40 million euros from the Council of Europe Development Bank for a housing voucher program for internally displaced persons.
