In Ukraine, as the current period of martial law nears its end, citizens are advised to verify the validity of their deferments from mobilization.
This was reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Registration and Enlistment Office.
In many cases, deferrals are automatically extended through electronic registries, specifically via the “Reserve+” app. This applies to situations where all data is current and verified.
At the same time, if the deferment period has expired and it has not been updated in the system, citizens must personally contact the Military Registration and Enlistment Office to extend it.
Men aged 25 to 60 are eligible for deferment if they have valid grounds. These include disability or unfitness as determined by a medical commission, having three or more children, single-parent status, guardianship, and family ties to fallen servicemembers.
Deferrals are also provided for reserved personnel, civil servants, individuals released from captivity, full-time or dual-track students, doctoral candidates, interns, as well as professors and teachers working at their primary place of employment.
You can apply for a deferment or its extension at any time, but it is recommended to do so in advance to avoid issues during mobilization procedures.
