Vladimir Tsabal, a member of parliament from the Voice party, has submitted a letter of resignation
Volodymyr Tsabal, a member of parliament from the "Holos" party, has officially submitted his resignation from his parliamentary seat. This information, initially released by the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, was later confirmed by the politician himself in comments to the media.
Censor.NET reports on personnel changes within the parliamentary faction.
Tsabal was elected to parliament in 2019 as the 12th candidate on the party list as a member of “Holos.” Following his likely departure from the Verkhovna Rada, the next candidate on the party list to receive a seat is political analyst Mykola Davydiuk. Currently, the “Voice” faction in the Verkhovna Rada has 19 members of parliament, though its composition has changed repeatedly due to internal party conflicts and the expulsion of individual representatives.
The resignation statement must be reviewed by the relevant committee and voted on in the Verkhovna Rada chamber. The politician did not provide detailed explanations regarding the reasons for his decision amid the war against Russia. Previously, the “Holos” party congress had already expelled some deputies from its ranks, which intensified turbulence within the faction. If the parliament votes in favor, the Central Election Commission will begin the procedure for registering a new member of parliament.
We previously reported that Oleg Voloshin, a member of parliament from the banned OPZZh party, submitted a statement resigning his seat. The document has been received by parliament. The Verkhovna Rada has also received statements of resignation from MPs Natalia Korolevska and Yuriy Solod. They were elected from the banned OPZZh party. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine terminated their powers early on February 24.
A major crisis is looming in parliament. At least 17 members of the Servant of the People faction want to resign their seats.
