"Dii" has updated its service; veteran ID cards are now available online
The "Diya" app has updated its features for veterans. From now on, the electronic ID can be viewed even before receiving a paper duplicate. To access the document, users simply need to log in to the app, after which it automatically appears in digital format.
Valeria Koval, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for the Development of the Ecosystem of Digital and Offline Personalized Services, reported this in a column for Channel 24.
"The veteran's e-certificate in the Diya app has become standalone, eliminating the need to obtain a paper document," she noted.
According to her, previously one had to first obtain a physical certificate, the number of which was entered into the registry. Now, after being granted the status, it can be immediately accessed on a smartphone.
Koval emphasized that bureaucratic processes that previously required visiting government offices and collecting paper documents are gradually being transitioned to a digital format.
According to her, to display the certificate, it is sufficient to log in to the Diya app. "If an ID card or foreign passport is linked to your profile, you can add the document to the app yourself in just a few clicks. The system will automatically display your photo from government registries," she explained.
At the same time, Koval emphasized that the main source of data for the e-certificate is the Unified State Register of War Veterans (USRWW), entries into which can also be created directly by military units.
"This means that as soon as a veteran’s status is entered into the database, the document will appear in the app," Koval said. She noted that this eliminates the risks associated with damage or loss of a paper document—the digital version is always available on your smartphone, protected by a digital signature, and ready to use.

Koval explained that the service for veterans also serves as a tool for self-verification of data. Previously, to confirm information about one’s status, individuals had to contact Administrative Service Centers or specialized agencies. According to her, all current information regarding status and certification is now displayed directly on the smartphone.
Koval notes that this allows users to independently verify the accuracy of the entered data, ensuring confidence in the unimpeded receipt of benefits.
Who can use the service
The digital certificate and access to data in "Veteran PRO" are available to veterans, female veterans, and family members of fallen defenders of Ukraine who have:
