An FSB agent was sentenced to 15 years in prison for aiding the enemy in its offensive against the Dnipropetrovsk region
A court has sentenced a Russian intelligence agent whom the SBU detained in May 2025 for directing fire in the Novopavlivka area. The traitor helped the occupiers break through to the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, for which he received a 15-year prison sentence and had his property confiscated.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine on its official channels.
The investigation established that the perpetrator transmitted the coordinates of the positions of the Defense Forces’ artillery and mortar units, which the Russian Federation then struck with heavy weapons and aerial bombs. He also directed shelling at ammunition depots and the routes of armored vehicles. The enemy’s accomplice turned out to be an unemployed resident of the Pokrovsk district, who was recruited through a relative living in the aggressor country and collaborating with the FSB.
The traitor gathered data by surveying the area near the front line and attempting to extract information from Ukrainian soldiers. He was promised evacuation to Russia for completing his tasks, but SBU operatives detained him in a rented apartment where he was attempting to hide. The court found the man guilty of treason committed under martial law.
As a reminder, the SBU detained a woman suspected of working for Russian intelligence services.
The SBU also uncovered new schemes to evade mobilization across Ukraine.
