Indian Summer will return to Ukraine as early as this week

After a rainy and cool start to September, a noticeable warming is expected in Ukraine. In the coming days, the weather will become drier, sunnier, and significantly warmer.

According to Vitaliy Postrygan, head of the Cherkasy Regional Center for Hydrometeorology, the current unstable weather is being driven by a cyclone that formed over the Adriatic Sea and moved across the Balkans into Ukraine.

It is this cyclone that has caused sharp temperature contrasts across different regions. On September 12, for example, the temperature in Lviv did not exceed +12 °C, while in Zaporizhzhia, the air warmed up to +31.6 °C.

On Monday, September 14, the cyclone will continue to bring rainy and unstable weather. However, as early as September 15, it will begin to move out of Ukraine, giving way to drier air.

The most pleasant changes are forecast starting Wednesday, September 16. According to preliminary calculations, by Sunday, September 20, Ukraine will experience high-pressure weather with sunshine and summer warmth.

Nighttime temperatures will range from about +9 to +14 °C, while daytime highs are expected to reach +21 to +26 °C. So, according to the meteorologist, it’s too early to put away your summer clothes.
