More than 5,000 Ukrainians have paid off their non-performing loans taken out from PrivatBank
The financial company “Kapitalresurs” transferred a portfolio of non-performing consumer loans—originally compiled by PrivatBank—to “Ukrborg” LLC. In less than a year, the company managed to settle the debts of more than 5,000 customers.
These were consumer loans, some of which had remained outstanding for several years. Different approaches were used to work with debtors depending on their financial situation.
In particular, some customers agreed to pay a specified amount immediately, while others were given the option to pay off their debt in installments. As a result, more than 5,000 people fulfilled the agreed-upon terms and fully settled their obligations to the lender.
Ukrborg emphasizes that it is not necessary to have the entire required amount to begin debt settlement. First and foremost, it is important to determine the current amount of debt, identify who the current creditor is, and learn about available repayment options, including the possibility of an installment plan.
Once the agreed-upon terms are met, the information regarding the repayment of the debt is updated in the credit history. Going forward, banks and other financial institutions may take this information into account when reviewing applications for loans and other financial services.

As a reminder, on the morning of August 15, Ukrainians began complaining en masse about problems with cashless payments. In stores and supermarkets, card payments and transactions via terminals are either difficult to process or fail entirely.
PrivatBank reported a technical glitch affecting several of its services. The bank is already working to resolve the issue and assures customers that all functions should return to normal operation shortly.
