Kravchenko showed the tracking information for a mail package suspected to be linked to Kryvonos
On September 14, suspended Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko published a screenshot of a package tracking record containing a notice of suspicion addressed to NABU Director Semen Kryvonos.
The package, numbered RO 1010 0156 240, was accepted in Kyiv (zip code 01010) on September 13 at 4:33 p.m., and the next morning, at 7:14 a.m., it left the post office. According to the tracking information:
- at 8:02 a.m. on September 14, the letter arrived at the “Kyiv-Pravyi” logistics center;
- at 10:30, it left that center;
- at 11:59 a.m., it arrived at the “Kyiv-Left” logistics center.
As of 9:58 p.m. on September 14, when Kravchenko checked the status, there was no record in the system of the item being delivered to the recipient. In other words, the published tracking information records the letter’s movement, not the fact that Kryvonos received it.
Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko stated that he is abroad on an official business trip.
The Anti-Corruption Action Center stated that Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko allegedly left Ukraine after signing the notice of suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos. The Anti-Corruption Center claims that this may have been done in exchange for the opportunity to leave the country.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have denied Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko’s statements regarding the alleged charges against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and offers of guarantees of immunity.
