An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8 was recorded near Lviv

An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8 occurred near Lviv on July 26. The tremors were recorded in the Pustomyty urban community in the Lviv District.

According to experts, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 4 kilometers. Based on seismic classification, the event falls into the category of barely perceptible earthquakes.

The earthquake posed no threat to the population. There are currently no reports of casualties or damage to buildings.

It is noted that the epicenter of the tremors was located near the town of Pustomyty, which is situated approximately 19 kilometers southwest of Lviv.

This was reported by the Main Center for Special Control on Facebook.

As a reminder, on July 9, an earthquake with a magnitude of 1.6 on the Richter scale was recorded in the Khmelnytskyi region. The tremors occurred in the Novoushytska territorial community.

Additionally, on the morning of July 7, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 occurred in the Poltava region. The tremors were weak and, according to experts, posed no danger to the population.
