The Ukrainian Red Cross has issued a warning about scams carried out in its name

Another wave of scams has been detected on the Telegram messaging app, involving the spread of fake messages about a one-time financial aid payment of 9,600 UAH on behalf of the Ukrainian Red Cross. The scammers are asking users to click on a link to collect their personal data.

The humanitarian organization has officially denied this information, emphasizing that it does not register people through third-party websites or Telegram channels, and publishes all official programs only on its own website and social media pages. Citizens are urged to practice digital hygiene, avoid opening suspicious links, refrain from sharing card details, and trust only verified primary sources.

This is stated in a press release from the UCH.

In Kryvyi Rih, police uncovered an international fraud scheme in which participants posed as representatives of a major metallurgical giant and defrauded foreign companies of nearly 7 million hryvnias. The perpetrators entered into fictitious contracts for the supply of metallurgical products and embezzled the funds received.

Following inspections in May, the two largest payment terminal networks—EasyPay (LLC “FC ‘Kontraktovy Dom’”) and City24 (LLC “Swift Garant”)—were hit with massive fines: 135 million hryvnias each.
