An official from the Ministry of Culture has been notified of charges of pro-Russian propaganda

In Kyiv, law enforcement officials have notified the head of a department at the Ministry of Culture that she is under investigation for justifying Russian aggression and spreading propaganda.

This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation, the official denied the fact of Russian aggression and claimed that Ukraine had allegedly provoked the war itself.

She also discussed where the Russians should best launch missile strikes.

The SBU notes that the woman spread disinformation about the Defense Forces and approvingly quoted Putin’s statements.

During searches, her equipment and letters to the Kremlin containing pro-Russian narratives were seized.

Her actions have been classified under the article on justifying Russia’s armed aggression.

The penalty carries a sentence of up to 8 years in prison.

The Ministry of Culture stated that it condemns such actions and emphasized that this is the position of an individual.

Charges have been filed against top SBU officials who “covered up” amber mining.

The deputy head of the SBU in Rivne Oblast received over $22,000 from a businessman through the same intermediary for ensuring unimpeded amber mining.
