A court punished a driver who got behind the wheel without a license for the second time—and while intoxicated
The Southern District Court of Kamyanske held a man administratively liable for repeatedly driving without a license and while showing signs of alcohol intoxication within a year. The incident occurred on March 4, 2026, when the driver of a VAZ vehicle refused to undergo a medical examination at the request of law enforcement officers.
Based on the totality of the offenses committed, the court imposed a final administrative penalty in the form of a fine payable to the state in the amount of 40,800 hryvnias, along with a five-year suspension of his right to operate motor vehicles. The offender was also ordered to pay court fees of 665 hryvnias.
