The High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a preventive measure on Sense Bank CEO Stupak
The High Anti-Corruption Court ordered Oleksiy Stupak, chairman of the board of “Sens Bank,” to post bail in the amount of 15 million hryvnias, which must be paid within five days. The prosecutor’s office had requested 150 million hryvnias.
According to the ruling by Investigating Judge Viktor Nogachevsky, the suspect is also prohibited from leaving Kyiv and the Kyiv region without permission; he is required to wear an electronic ankle monitor, surrender his documents for traveling abroad, and refrain from communicating with a number of officials, including NBU Governor Andriy Pyshny, Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Budanov, former Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko, and other individuals involved in the case.
In addition, the official is prohibited from entering the buildings of the National Bank and Sense Bank. During the hearing, Stupak denied the charges, called the allegations unfounded, and stated that he did not facilitate the laundering of funds and had no contact with representatives of the State Financial Monitoring Service.

On August 19, NABU and the SAP announced that they had notified a group of officials of suspicion of laundering funds obtained by criminal means, a number of officials who, on June 29, arranged for the payment of a 150 million hryvnia bail bond for Herman Halushchenko, one of the defendants in the “Midas” case. Stupak is among them.
