Zelenskyy dismissed the head of the SBU's Department for the Protection of State Secrets
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree dismissing Oleg Khramov from his position as head of the Department for the Protection of State Secrets and Licensing of the Security Service of Ukraine.
“To dismiss Oleg Vitaliyovych Khramov from the position of head of the Department for the Protection of State Secrets and Licensing of the Security Service of Ukraine,” the document states. The reasons for the dismissal are not specified.
Khramov was appointed head of the Department for the Protection of State Secrets and Licensing of the SBU on March 6, 2023. The Department for the Protection of State Secrets and Licensing of the Security Service of Ukraine (DPSSL of the SBU) is a structural unit of the SBU’s Central Administration responsible for safeguarding classified information and licensing activities in this area.
The relevant document, No. 868/2026, was published on the President’s website.
Prior to this, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the situation involving a shootout between representatives of the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) in Kyiv “absolutely shameful” and ordered a full investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
As a reminder, a shooting occurred in Kyiv, and law enforcement officers were spotted at the scene.
