The number of modular shelters will be increased in Ukrainian cities
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to develop special programs for businesses that will enable the rapid installation of additional modular and mobile shelters. In addition, city administrations, in collaboration with the government, business leaders, and local authorities, are to expand the network of protective structures of various types in populated areas.
Furthermore, following agreements reached with National Security and Defense Council Secretary Ihor Klymenko, plans are in place to strengthen the capabilities of the State Emergency Service. This will enable rescue workers to extinguish fires and carry out emergency rescue operations following Russian strikes immediately during an air raid alert. The government is expected to adopt the relevant decisions in the near future.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in a Telegram post.
Earlier, Klitschko complained that it is impossible to officially use mobile shelters in the capital because no state building codes (DBN) have been developed for them.
As a reminder, in Zaporizhzhia, there are plans to install special modular shelters in the courtyards of high-rise buildings.
