The State Bureau of Investigation has concluded its investigation into the illegal sale of a portion of the Tourist Hotel in Rivne
Officials from the State Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the Prosecutor General have completed the pretrial investigation and filed an indictment with the court against four individuals involved in the illegal disposal and legalization of a portion of state-owned real estate belonging to the-restaurant complex “Tourist” in Rivne.
Among the defendants are the former head of PJSC “UkrprofTour,” the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, the head of PJSC “Rivneturist,” and the director of a private company.
According to the investigation, between 2015 and 2018, the defendants organized the alienation of 90/100 shares of the hotel restaurant building using forged approvals and formal property appraisals, transferring ownership to their associates.
The suspects face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Law enforcement officials have filed an indictment with the court against the company’s director—a member of the Bohodukhiv City Council—who embezzled equipment for wastewater treatment facilities worth over 14.79 million hryvnias.
